Today, I’m writing my experience of using Oxy facial bleach.

I do not bleach often, rather I don’t even remember when was the last time I used bleach on my face was.  As I don’t have visible facial hair and the very few that I have is also quite light in texture, thus, I’m not regular with the bleaching routine. In summers, my skin tends to get tanned and because of the high sun exposure and pollution facial hair becomes visible. That is why I decided to bleach this time.

There are numerous methods with which you can remove tanning naturally but that rarely works for the facial hair. So I decided to go for the oxy bleach as it seemed to be the safest option.

The tag line of this bleach also suggests the same “Healthy way to bleach.” So, I gave it a try.

About the bleach

When skin is exposed to stress, harsh sunlight and high levels of pollution, it starts looking pale. This indicates a lack of oxygen in the skin and time for oxygenation. Oxybleach,with its unique formulation, breathes oxygen to the skin and revives the glow instantly.

My Experience

I cleansed my face and started the process of bleaching after patting it dry. 

I took 2 pinches of activator and mixed it into the bleaching cream thoroughly for almost 2 mins.

I applied it all over my face; there was a slight tingling sensation but that is usual with any bleach as the activator is working on the facial hair. I washed my face after 10 mins ( I do not recommend keeping bleach on for more than 10 mins)

The results of using this bleach were quite amazing. It lightened my facial hair, improved my skin texture and my complexion was at least 2 shades lighter. It felt as if the stubborn tan suddenly disappeared. 

After bleaching, I used the post bleaching cream as it was directed in the leaflet. The cream, even though very less in quantity helps in calming down the skin which came in contact with certain chemicals while bleaching and also gives a subtle glow to the face.

I'm quite impressed after using this bleach and I'll incorporate bleach as a part of my facial more often now. 

I think this is the best bleach I have ever used.

Verdict- I strongly recommend this bleach. And I’m surely going to try this again. This bleach also contains Hydrogen Peroxide and persulphates just like any other bleach yet my skin didn’t react to it badly, instead it is glowing and is tan free.
There are no side effects to it and it is thus suitable even for the sensitive skin

April 10^th evening is worth mentioning. It was so special that I just can’t skip on it. I was meeting my beau <3 and so many fellow blogger friends that I was overwhelmed even by the thoughts of it. Thanks to Indiblogger iconic meets, it becomes possible to meet so many bloggers from different genres. And it was one of those evening, an exclusive Indiblogger meet. A meet in Delhi happened after such a long time that it felt as if decades have passed … now I shouldn't be complaining, because finally this happened. :D

For some, Indi inspired them and helped them get introduced to the world of blogging. For some, Indi is like a family. For me, Indi is my family. Indi has given me more than I could ever ask for. It feels like a new life altogether. Thank you Indiblogger. Stay awesome as you are and may you achieve even greater heights.

Coming on to the evening; it was a women centric meet as a Japanese cosmetic brand, Kose, was embarking its presence in India with the launch of Spawake, A skin care brand, made specially, keeping in mind the needs of the Indian women.

It all started with random joke and learning Japanese overnight, while everyone was settling in for the meet to really begin. And then, as always, our unbeatable Emcee, Anoop Johnson took the charge and started the fun evening. Trust me, when it comes to leg pulling or taking someone’s case, no one can beat him; He Is That good!!

Great laughs and funny interactive games always help in breaking the ice and also to get introduced to brilliant fellow bloggers.

During the meet, whole Spawake range was launched and Aditi Rao Hydari also showed her celebrity presence as she is the Brand Ambassador of Spawake. This made evening even more special. She is so humble and cute. 

FYI, all you fashionistas out there- She was wearing an embellished Shehlaa Khan gown and I must tell you, she was looking absolutely gorgeous. Loved her simple sober yet classy look.

Finally the evening wrapped up with wine and dines, laughter and smiles and goodbyes …. Just to meet super soon again. Yes Indi we can wait for the next meet. 

Indiblogger and Kose also gave us beautiful Spawake hampers in the well-crafted wooden box (I adore this box!!). These guys surely know very well how to pamper ladies ;)

My #SpaTastic Experience At VLCC DAY SPA

After a week of being in bad health and feeling exhausted all the time, when i received an Invitation from VLCC Day Spa to experience their services as a part of their blogger campaign, it was an Instant mood lifter and happily accepted it, after all VLCC is a trusted brand and I have been using their salon and grooming services for quite sometime now.

 Well, there are numerous Spa centers in Delhi to give you a rejuvenating experience. For me hygiene and the quality of products used during the session are very important. VLCC Day Spa is a Top notch relaxing spa center to pamper yourself to the fullest.  They use high quality products from their own parent venture VLCC during the services. The best part about VLCC Day Spa is their luxurious environment and their staff. Staff is not just skilled and profession but also very hospitable and always smiling.

I visited them in the middle of the day at around 12:30 pm and as soon as I was there, they welcomed me with a great smile and in no time they even asked me to try the services like manicure and pedicure along with a great Foot Reflexology session. While the professionals were doing their job of pampering me, they kept on asking me if I needed something. They even served me with nice and fresh lemonade to sooth and calm my insights.

The Luxe experience of mani-pedi by them cannot be stated in words. You will have to experience it. The Jacuzzi Pedicure relaxing couching was a Plus. Creams and scrubs used during the sesion were so aromatic and relaxing. I almost slept during the foot reflexology. Yes, they were that good :D . Towards the end of the mani-pedi session, they topped my toe and hand nails with amazing gel nail paint by O.P.I. See luxury, again.

My hands and feet felt soft and silky as if I was some princess who never has to do any hard work.

The next therapy that I was offered was super relaxing head massage. The Masseur suggested me to go for an aromatic oil massage, which will not help me rejuvenate my sense but will also strengthen my roots deeply and will prevent hair breakage and hair fall. Whole head massage session took somewhere between 25-30 mins and I can happily say that it was totally worth it. My head, shoulders and arms felt as if they have gotten a new life. I felt extremely charged up, considering the health is taking toll on me.

After that we headed to shampoo and blow dry session. There –there I must say the team of hair stylists that they have is just awesome. Soon after the shampoo, while I waiting for water to drain from hair a little before blow dry, I observed that other stylists who were working on the locks of rest of the customers were doing some fabulous job in no time. I felt so safe at that moment and during the blow dry session, the stylist gave my hair a complete new straightened look. I felt super pleased because they didn't even take ages in doing so.

Recommendation-  I would highly recommend this place to relax and rejuvenate. It’s a unisex spa and grooming center with supreme quality treatments which are delivered by the team of highly skilled professionals. The staff is welcoming and the space is quiet which great aroma. The interiors of the spa are not too dark and are very pleasing. The price of these therapies are not exponentially high and ever once in a while you can completely indulge and pamper yourself.

I’m planning my next visit to them shortly along with my mother. They are placed in various locations in Delhi but the one I visited is in Priya Shopping complex, Vasant Vihar.

Crabtree & Evelyn LILY Ultra- Moisturizing Hand Therapy Review

They Say - "You can't hide the signs of aging from hands". So true, there are no anti aging creams for your hands but does that really stops us from taking good care of our hands?
Naahh..  We, the beauty blogger's community, strongly believes that we need to take special care of our hard working hands.

Well, last month while roaming in DLF Place, randomly I entered in Crabtree & Evelyn's store .. I must tell you I was fascinated by every product on their display. Beautiful arrangement I must say. I love their RoseWater Hand Therapy, I was using that product for a while but then once in some wedding I lost the tube somewhere ( careless me !!)

I was desperately looking for nice hand cream, anyhow. So I bought this cute little tube Crabtree & Evelyn Lily Ultra- Moisturizing Hand Therapy.

Infused with lily of the valley fragrance, shea butter and macadamia nut oil, this intensive cream nourishes skin so it’s noticeably smoother after each luxurious application.

Price - Rs 395/25g (0.9 oz)

The product comes in traditional metal tube packaging with plastic screw cap. Its super travel friendly packaging. I always carry it in my basics kit in handbag

My Experience

I’m in love with this hand cream. It gives my hands decent hydration without being too greasy. The texture is smooth and quick absorbing, with the light massage it penetrates into the skin deeply, leaving it soft and smooth. It’s a light scented product which lingers for long without being overpowering. The effect of the product stays on for few hours, so you need to apply this hand cream every now and then.  The scent is fresh and floral, it totally refreshes my mood and senses.

Recommendation

I highly recommend this product as it soothes my skin and conditions it well. Moreover, the hand cream is not tested on animals and is also SLS and Paraben free. Cream contains myrrh extract which also condition nails and cuticles.
And don’t worry about the quantity and price as you just need pea size blob for one application, hence, the product lasts quite longer.

I've heard a lot about the Brand Iraya, never used it though. I will take my considering it is an organic and Ayurvedic based brand. I will write a detailed review about this product by next month ( Stay tuned ;) ) 

Flomar Quartet Eye Shadow - Full size - Rs 750/- 

                                     
The shade which I received in my bag is No. 402 which is in pink and browns. I'm liking the shades of this mini pallet as they are very neutral and can be used it routine, without much of drama. If you are anything like, who believes in less is more than these shades are just perfect for you. The combination of browns and pinks can be worn for the perfect Date- Night or Date-day. 

About the brand Flomar-  It is a part of French Cosmetic group, Yves Rochar. It is available in over 70 countries and is also the market leader in Turkey

According to the info card- The eyeshadow has non dusty formula and will last for the whole day. But I''m not keeping my Hopes much high from this product yet I feel the shades will stay for good 4-5 hours ( decent enough?) 

Votre Day Moisturizing Gel with SPF 35 - Full size - Rs 810 for 40 gm

Okay. This is again a full size product and again, I've heard a lot about this particular product from the people around me. They all seem very happy with the results of this one and considering the reputation of the Brand, I wish to feel the same, let's see. 

According to the Info card - It is a best sunscreeen day product for monsoons as it is in Gel form. So. it will keep the skin hydrated and not oily. It is infused with liquorice and bearberry extracts which helps in diminishing the dark spots and makes skin radiant. 

I'm really looking forward to using this one and will surely put a detailed review of the same soon.

Well, I must say Just Herbs people are doing a great job. These samples are truly bespoke for my skin type. The fragrance of each product is different and it screams the pure blend of natural herbs.
They delivered me the Sample Kit within two days of receiving the payment.( Super quick!!). I've just started using the samples ( Day 1 it is ). So, I'll be back with the reviews of each of the samples.

My View and Review - Garnier Fair Miracle 2-in-1 Fairness Cream

Today I'm reviewing a new fairness cream from Garnier.. This one is making quite some news in the market because of its claim. Well I'm personally not a fan of fairness creams which are mushrooming like anything in the Indian market. I still picked this one because of its claim of keeping  the face clean upto 12 hours, so thought of trying it.

The Claim 

It gives you instant fairness that lasts from morning to evening because it contains Vitamin B3 & Perlite, which is a natural mineral. The talc in it is effective due to its absorption properties. The UV filters are known to protect your skin from skin darkening. This cream gets easily absorbed and gives you fair & clean skin for 12 Hours.

All in all, soft and glowing skin is what the New Garnier Fair Miracle gives to you. You can TOUCH, FEEL & SEE the difference in your skin.

My Verdict/ Experience

These days this handy cream has become staple in my bag as it gives me clean look for the longest have known. It blends easily on skin and it moisturizes pretty well too. It acts well as the base for make-up. The texture of this cream is smooth and creamy. The fragrance is very similar to other fairness creams and is not overpowering. it doesn't provide any instant fairness but keeps the skin clean for quite long.

Yes, I will as its very handy and inexpensive.
Take it- If you have oily or normal skin and cooler complexion.
Leave it - if you have very dry skin and warmer skin tone, as it may leave white patches.

A simple DIY- make your own Makeup Remover!!!

Today I’m here to tell you one really simple and effective recipe for the makeup remover – specialy the long stay and waterproof makeup remover, for which you don’t even have to spend a fortune.(Am I exaggerating it!! ). Nevermind, instead of buying a very expensive makeup remover you can make it super easily at home.

Things you Need

Olive Oil/ Sweet almond oil- 1 tbsp
Water- 1 cup
Baby Shampoo/ no tear shampoo
Storage Container – I’m using Glycerine bottle and roghan badam shirin Bottle

Procedure

 Mix all the ingredients very well. You will see froth coming up. Try to pour the mixuter in the container without froth. Use the froth to clean your feet ;). It is totally safe on the face but after removing make up wash your face with your favourite face wash.

I have tried to show you that how well it works – I have used all my waterproof and long stay makeup to show you how well it work. It now greasy, it doesn’t leave any residue and it does it work perfectly.

Final Product

Not at all expensive- Easy to make- effective rather better than my expensive makeup removers.
