My View and Review : Tresemme Keratine Smooth Infusing Shampoo

If you follow my blog or have read the previous post, then you are well aware that i m not as such a hoarder of cosmetic or skin/hair care  products ( I know its weird coming from a beauty blogger, but I have just  started my journey). I use very few products on my hair. I'm a freak when it comes to my hair, i dont experiment with they too much but i change my shampoo every 3-4 months or put any specific brand on rotation because I heard that if we keep using the same shampoo for much long period, hair gets immune to that shampoo and it doesn't work to the best of its capabilities. So I wanted to change my shampoo and few months ago, my cousin suggested that i should give Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo a try. So bought this one.
I usually have very tamed hair, i rarely suffer from bad-hair days (touchwood.). They are normal - dry, slightly wavy straight hair. No major hair problems, except that they are very thin (I think that runs in my family). During winters, they sometimes loose shine, still nothing serious.
Frankly, i was impressed that a keratin shampoo is available at such affordable price and i have used Tresemme smooth and shine in past and impressed with it, so i gave this one a try.

 So what is Keratin?

Keratin is a protein which is naturally there in our hair, but we lose it due to endless reasons and thats where frizz comes in picture. Here comes tresemme keratin smooth infusing shampoo to the rescue.

Product Description

Packaging

I bought 600ml Bottle which is the biggest size available in market. It comes in a sturdy Red bottle with pump, very salonish types. I like. but this particular size is not travel friendly but other 200ml an d 100 ml are cool for travel purposes.
Ingredients

My Take -  I feel this is one shampoo i ever needed in my life. I'm  very happy with the results. Tresemme claims Keratin range contains very less Sulfate, I don't know whether it is right or not but i m very happy with the results. It leave my hair smooth and completely frizz free. It has enhanced the shine in my hair. The is smell is very typical floral smell which is not overpowering and stays for long.

Pros-

Smoother and Shinier hair
control Frizz
Mild Floral Fragrance
nicely cleanses hair and scalp
Manageable- ready to style hair
claims to contain less sulfates
Contains keratin - building protein for hair
It does straightens my hair, but my hair are already straight
and its affordable

Cons-

It doesn't add any Volume to my hair
It is a Unilever Products- which tests on animals

Recommendation - I'm very happy with the results. I totally recommend it. It is currently the best option available in market to control the frizz. It straightens hair but does not add any volume, so if your looking for a shampoo to add volume to your hair then skip this one.

Rating - 4/5

So have you tried any products from Tresemme Keratin range? Let me know your views in the comments below

A fun day with Indiblogger, Fellow Bloggers and Dove

Hey All!!!

I know I’ve been missing for months altogether from my lovely blog friends and frankly I don’t wish to give the excuses for that. There were some unavoidable circumstances and when those circumstances weren’t there then there was my Laziness!!! (Honestly)
lady bloggers - take a bow !!!
Anoop - one amazing guy !!!
Well well Well- Few days ago I received this mail from Indiblogger werein they invited all female bloggers for the bloggers meet in Delhi. The theme of the meet was Dove hair aware. The best thing about that email was – it was mentioned there that meet was on Sunday (the fun day u see!!) and they were offering us free food (just imagine – who says no to free and amazing food ;) and bestest part – the registration was free (cool – super cool)

Oh yeah, so I received a call from Indiblogger asking me if I can assure my presence and I was like of course why not- I’ll be there and too on time (The time was morning 10:00am – Sunday morning waking up early – feels disturbing yet its amazing )
As soon as I got over with that call I realized how long it has been that I haven’t written anything and I quickly made a head note – “Buckle up lady and start writing again” but I gave myself another excuse by saying “go for this meet – check this one out as Its going to be your first bloggers meet and write about it.”

So, here I’m writing how the meet went and what all I did. - Reached and got myself registered by just simply giving my email –id and whooppeee they welcomed me.
Then we all the pretty bloggers settled down and had bit of intro-convo + 60 seconds of fame, wherein everyblogger was asked to introduce themselves and their blogs. BTW I forgot to tell you something – I hotfooted from home so that I don’t end up missing anything at the meet and in that rush I completely forgot my cameraL. So the pictures displayed in this post are not my property.

After the ice breaking session with other fellow bloggers, Indiblogger fun guy Anoop took over (he was so amusing!!! and a charm on mike) – he made us laugh asked funny questions and even gave us vouchers and hampers …. (I know you feeling little J, isnt it ;) ).

Thereafter,  Saumya, Brand manager- Dove India took over the stage. She introduced
us the brand and its USP – 1/4th moisturizing milk in all their products. She even asked us to write our problems – life problems on the sticky notes they gave us and paste it on the soft board on the stage.
Shivani- stand up comedian

Soon after that came Shivani- stand up comedian, she made all of us laugh. Honestly, she was good but certainly not the best. The best part of the meet was the facebook app which we did and soon after that we got a nice hamper from dove people and that too according to hair needs- a shampoo and a conditioner in beautiful white pouch (totally loved it) in between we were also served with nice tea/coffee and cookies (yum yum).

Thenceforth came Dr. Rohini, Hair and Scalp expert – Dove India. She explained us about hair and the problems our hair face in routine. It was an interactive session, we asked her about our hair problems – reasons behind them and how to solve them – I will surely talk about it in detail in my upcomiong posts, so keep following.
All in all the meet was amazing I had great time wid all the ladies – so pretty, so thoughtful and ofcourse so awesome- U ROCK!!!.
Hands down to all female bloggers -  we are doing a great job

 The Fotoshoot !!!

Once again, thank you Indiblogger and Dove for inviting me to such an amazing meet.

Care with yogurt even in Winters !!!

Hey chicklets!!

Whats has been happening?? Its so cold out here in Delhi, but I anyhow love winters and I’m enjoying this weather to the fullest even though my exams are going on. Every season has its pros and con, and with winters comes dry skin and dry scalp, which requires extra care. So here is a wonder ingredient for your winter problems – Yogurt!!!

The good fat in yogurt naturally nourishes, prevents drying during winter and the mild acids bleach tan. Yogurt also balances pH levels on skin & hair and does alot good if applied frequently.

1)      Pure and Simple Yogurt for hair:-  You can simply use yogurt on the hair and scalp few minutes before taking bath. Yogurt is an excellent product for dry hair or y0ou can beat yogurt and then apply on the hair and scalp. Leave for 30-45 minutes and then rinse of with lukewarm water and use mild shampoo.

2)      Yogurt with honey- Yogurt and honey is a perfect for winter care! Beat yogurt and add few drops of honey to it. Apply on the hair and leave for 30-45 minutes. This conditions the hair and stores the moisture therefore preventing the hair from becoming dry. You can also apply the same mixture on your face and leave it for 10-15 mins. It boosts your skin moisture and gives you instant glow.

3)      Body Scrub- To a bowl of yogurt, add a teaspoon of powdered sugar, turmeric and aloe vera gel. Turmeric works like an antiseptic, sugar helps in scrubbing and removing the dead skin cells. Aloe vera soothes skin. Even oatmeal powder can be added to yogurt and used as a scrub.

4)      Body Scrub part 2 :-  You can add 3 tablespoons powdered oatmeat in one bowl of burd and use as a body scrub.

5)      Shiny long hair:- Yogurt when mixed with olive oil makes up an effective hair care recipe.

6)      Yogurt Body Pack: To a mixture of multani mitti/ green clay, add yogurt and rosewater and mix it to thick paste. Apply the yogurt recipe all over the body (specially arms & legs are more visible). The homemade facepack should be massaged on knees and elbows to lighten up the skin and prevent roughness.

7)      Yogurt and Egg – Beat and egg while whipping yogurt and then apply on the hair. The best way to apply this yogurt mask is by parting hair lines an applying on the exposed scalp. This way, you apply the mask properly. Leave it for an hour and then rinse off with cold water and use a mild shampoo.

8)      Yogurt Lotion: Combining yogurt with a teaspoon of the fragrant essential oil and applying everyday
before bath will protect skin damage, dryness, redness and will maintain skin silky and glowing.

9)      Yogurt Body Mask: The natural body mask is prepared by adding grated carrots (carrot juice), saffron, honey and yogurt. The body mask is gently applied on body before bath and taken bath after it is dry. The yogurt body mask makes skin silky soft and glowing.

10)   Yogurt and banana- Mash a banana and add it to the beaten yogurt. Apply this paste on the hair and leave for 30-45 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and little shampoo. Regular usage reduces hair fall and controls dandruff.

So if you know recipe for skin or hair with this Wonder Ingredient, right it to me in the comments and I’ll add it in this post – with due credit.

Miracle Plant : Aleo Vera for Hair

Hey Bubblys!!!

These days due to strong anti-biotics which I was taking regularly because or cold and soem infection I got in this changing weather, I'm suffering from so much hair-fall that it makes me cry and shout. So my mom suggested me some ghar ke nuskhe ( home-made remedies), and said that I should use Aleo Vera.

Who doesn't want all that shiny, healthy, long dandruff free hair. I'm no different.

What are the hair problems in face in day to day life?
  • Dandruff
  • Hair loss
  • Balding
  • Dryness and Roughness
  • Losing sheen
Aloe vera, when combined with some other natural ingredients can help us solve our hair problems or reduce them. With aloe vera hair fall can be drastically reduced and hair thickness can be maintained.

A healthy hair should be moist a little bit. Moist hair looks and feels healthy. But in today's changing weather conditions, the moisture is lost fast. Aloe vera helps in retaining the moisture.
You can make your own Leave-on aleo vera gel by using simple and easy available ingredients for healthy shiny hair.

- In just 1/4th cup of almond oil mix 3/4th cup of fresh aleo vera gel and viola your Leave- on portion  is ready which will keep your hair moisturize. (i will post the DIY pic soon)

Dandruff
Thanks to Dear God, I don't suffer from Dandruff infection that much and that often. But yes once it happened and for me that was horror!!! Aleo Vera came to my rescue :)

Many dandruff control shampoos and oils contain aloe vera due to its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial qualities. These properties are helpful to prevent your scalp from dandruff infection. The gel-like element in aloe vera, if applied to scalp, restores the pH balance of the scalp.

- By regular application of aloe gel on scalp you can get rid of dandruff. The mixture of fenugreek seeds(soaked methi dana) with aloe gel is much more effective to cure dandruff and condition hair. you can use 1 tea-spoon fenugreek seed soaked in water overnight with half cup of aleo vera gel and then use it as a conditioner ( you can use this conditioner on your scalp as well)

- Pour some amount of aloe vera oil according to your hair in your hand and apply it to your hair. It will help you to be free from dandruff.

- 1 lemon, 1/2 cup of aloe vera gel, and some essential oils can work wonders on an itchy scalp. If you feel you will not be able to prepare this at home. Look for shampoos or hair creams with these ingredients.

Hair Loss

I and I know many girls like me who are suffering with this problem. So here is solution. Choose the shampoo that high content of aleo vera and coconut milk. And hey ladies you can make your shampoo.

-  Make an aloe vera shampoo. When combined with wheat germ oil and coconut milk, aloe vera gel makes a shampoo to promote hair growth. Use the shampoo as often as you wash your hair.

- Combine aloe vera therapies with a balanced low-fat, low-protein diet. Diets high in fat and animal protein cause a number of medical reactions that lead to hair loss.

Dryness and roughness:

Hair when exposed to pollutants and foreign particles tends to break and fall. Even sun exposure can cause hair loss. An aloe vera conditioner can work wonders with this problem. This gel is soothing and cooling. Therefore it can be used after shampooing or you can use a stabilized aloe vera gel available in the market as a leave on gel.

Losing sheen:

Hair after a particular age tends to lose sheen and becomes dull. Aloe vera can be used to get back that sheen. You can mix aloe vera with any skin care gel (1/2 any gel and 1 aloe vera gel) to give you a sheen that lasts all day and in the process provides nourishment to your hair. Aloe vera is known to be in use for a very long time. It is said that the secret of Cleopatra's beauty was aloe vera.

I hope this post of some use for you, if yes kindly follow up and let your friends know about me n my post.

Love

Caution :- if by any of  the homemade methods your scalps gets to burning or highly itchy  remove immediately.
many  people have allergy from aloe Vera, so consult your doctor or do a patch test before proceeding if you are not aware

Shiny Beautiful Hair in Winters

“I stared at her black hair. It was shiny like the promises in magazines. ”
~Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones

Who doesn’t want have shiny long hair like princess Rapunzel. Winter is a time when your hair needs special attention. The most exposed part of our body in winters is our hair and it leads to various hair problems like split ends, dry scalp, sheen-less hair, damaged and dandruff.

Here are some Winter Hair care Tips that can guide you about how to take special care for your hair during winter.

-          Shield you hair with a hat, cap or scarf, slightly loose enough to allow scalp circulation,            to protect your hair against the chill wind in winter.

-          Be regular with oiling your hair once or twice a week this winter as it retains the shine of hair and keep the hair-roots strong. Using hot oil can be an effective measure towards protecting your hair in winter. You can try using a natural hot oil solution like jojoba hot oil treatment for your hair and it can excellently re hydrate your dry hair.
Do not wash your hair using hot water as this can damage your hair to a great extent. Try using lukewarm or preferably cool water while washing your hair. Cold water/ tap water will also give your hair extra shine.

-       Avoid shampooing your hair too often. In winter the hair as well as the scalp dry easily and shampooing too frequently can worsen the case. Switch to mild shampoo and ensure no damage. It will keep the scalp clean and dandruff free. And, those who are having dandruff problem can choose a mild anti-dandruff shampoo.

-      Avoid using blow dryers, curling irons and straightening irons as they tend to dry and damage the hair to a great extent. Use such hot items for your hair, as little as possible. If you need to use a hot item use a leave in conditioner before using the item on your hair.

-       Use Hair products that have the word, "Replenish" on it is made to moisturize your hair.

-          Along with conditioning, you can also indulge into spa treatments like hair-spa, head massage and even hair-masks.

-          Try using a dry shampoo if you need to wash out your hair. One dry shampoo you can use is baby powder, simply sprinkle some onto your hair and use a comb to comb it off.

-          Static energy remains very intense during wintertime. If your hair is charged with static, brushing your hair can pose a very big problem. Static causes huge damage even with 'static free' brushes. Rub a dryer softener sheet over the brush, which can greatly detangling your hair.

Now some homemade easy remedies for beautiful shiny hair

-         try honey to add shine to dull hair. Mix 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 pint of water.           Rub  mixture into hair and scalp. Leave on for 20 minutes (cover hair with a shower cap). Rinse hair thoroughly with cool water.

-          Take ½ cup mayonnaise and apply it on the hair from the root to the tip. Cover the head with plastic wrap and wait 15 minutes. Rinse it with water. It will give your hair new shine and will feel soft.

-          Combine 2 Ripe banana, 1 tbsp yogurt, ½ tbsp olive oil, ½ tbsp castor oil and ½ tbsp coconut oil. Apply this conditioner on the hair from the root to the tip and wrap with a hot towel. Keep it for half an hour and wash with lukewarm water. To wash your hair, use a mild shampoo.

-          Take 1 banana and mash it then add 3 to 4 drops of almond oil. Mix it well and message it into the hair. Keep it for 30 minutes and wash with a mild shampoo.

So what are you waiting for now lustrous smooth beautiful hair are on your way this winters !!!

Stay fabulous
