My View and Review of Maybelline Glitter Mania; Paparazzi Purple

By now you all must have heard of the new Maybelline Glitter Mania Range. There are 8 shiny, glittery shades in this amazing range. This new range is just too good with right shades, and just right amount of glitter in each of them
Today I’m reviewing “Paparazzi Purple” from this gorgeous Glitter Mania Range.

Price- Rs 125/- only for 6 ml

If you’re on a budget spree yet you want to rock the floor and appear like a star Diva, then this range is perfect for you.
Swatch- Paparazzi Purple

Swatch on Day 2

My Experience

The shade of Paparazzi Purple is bluish- purple and not mauve or deep purple with silver sparkles in it. This shade is just right for an evening out or even for a nice romantic dinner date. Pair it up with your LBD or any attire in Blue, purple or grey and you’re good to go.

The nail paints glides on nails very smoothly and dries up quite quickly, which leaves very less scope for any sort of mess. It gives an instant look of perfectly manicured nails. It does not chip easily and it shines on nails for good 3-4 days.

The only bit of a disadvantage is, due to its sandy texture, they are bit difficult to remove. You night need to use little more paint remover than usual.

So, If you’re a glitter fan, then just go for these beauty without even giving it a second thought as they are just fab.

Ten Commandments for: Healthy Beautiful Nails

You can tell a lot from a person’s nails, when a life starts to unravel,
they’re among the first to go.”~ Lan Mc Ewan

Hands and nails are something that people always notice about other person. So its really important to maintain beautiful and neat nails. For this purpose, you need to undertake certain steps, such as cleaning your nails on regular basis, treating the cuticles property (softly and without damaging them) and keeping the nails well moisturized.

Specially for ladies obssessed with long and pointed nails (even I’m )- these nails are weaker than normally shaped nails and that’s why they require special attention, so you should go for a nail hardner with mylon fibres because that will harden the nail as well as keep it moiturize.

Below are few tips to maintain healty beautiful and smooth nails.

1)      Don’t apply nail paints/polish on daily basis :-  give your nails break from nail polish time to time i.e. leave them without polish for a few days every now and then. Nail polish can cause uglyu yellow tint on the nails. But if you have brittle nails, wear nail polish or at least the colourless base coat, as much as you can as it prevents the nail breakage by hardening them.

2)     Filing nails:- Best time to file your nails is when you are already wearing a polish. This will prevent splitting or breaking of nails. And use the filer in one direction on your nails.

3)     Nail polish remover:-  Avoid using as much nail polish remover as you can and stay away from acetone polish remover and rather stick to the one which contains acetate.
Word of advice:- don’t use naul polish remover more than once a week.

4)     Cuticles:- The culticle protects the nail root from bateria instead of cutting the cuticle, push it back gently with a rosewood, orangewood or rubber-tipped cuticle pusher. Though removing the cuticles from your nails will make them susceptible to infection, slightly trimming them is justifiable. Strong cuticle growth can be controlled with a cuticle softner or cuticle remover liquid.

5)     Scraping the Nail Paint:-  Never peel or scrape off nail polish or use metal instruments on the nail surface to push back the cuticles. This can scarp off the protective cells of the nail surface.

6)     Trimming:-  Make a habit to trim and file your nails regularly. Remove the dead skin near cuticles. Also remove any dirt or dead skin beneath the nails.

7)      Manicure:- The best time to do your manicure is after a shower, bath or the dishes. These activities will remove dirt from under the nails as well as soften dry nails.

8)     Moisturize:- Dry nails are tends to cut and break, so applying a moisturizer will avert nail breakage and specially before sleeping, this will help dissemination of the cream into the nail plate, thus giving you extra-ordinary results.

9)     DIET:-  Vitamin A,B, D and calcium are the best food for your nails. Try  include as  much of them in your diet. Go for natural sources of Vitamin and calcium rather than supplements. A balanced diet will definitely give you a difference in both your nails and over all health as well.

10)  Nail Biting:- The damaging habit for your nails is nail bitting and I’m also one of the victim. The cuticle leads to a deformed nail shape or uneven nail growth. You can transfere harmful organisms to the nail that lead to infection or even increase one’s chance of catching cold or flu so keep your nails out of your mouth.

Now some DIY for your beautiful nails and hands.

1)      To harden soft nails, soak them in warm olive oil for about 20 minutes, on alternate days.

2)     To remove stains from your nails, mix one tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of water and soak your nails in this liquid for a few minutes. Then, wash off with warm water and apply a hand moisturizer.

And if you want to give a natural sheen to your nails, just like the colourless base coat, rub vaselline on your nails and then buff then with the help of a soft cloth.

So relish your soft hands.

Stay Fabulous.
